Based in Yarm (North Yorkshire), Broomside Design is an independent interior design studio, specialising in the design and supply of bespoke kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms and home office furniture solutions.

One of the finalists in our Top 10 Real Stories of 2023 campaign, Broomside Design effortlessly combined classic design with modern styling in their winning entry. Created for Mr & Mrs Gawthorpe in Durham, this Belgravia inframe kitchen has been expertly paired with a modern slab door from the Aurora range by our sister brand, Novelle.

Traditional design elements such as tongue and groove panelling have been complimented in this space with contemporary features including slatted wooden panelling and marbled worktops.

Key Design Features

• Full-height cupboards offer plenty of storage space for dry foods as well as crockery and cookware.
• The kitchen island features a submerged sink and ample space for food preparation as well as offering a communal seating area.
• The cabinetry is topped with a traditional cornice creating a built-in look.
• Textured bar handles are used throughout the space adding an element of modern design.
• Both the Belgravia and Aurora range feature an authentic woodgrain that pairs beautifully with the slatted wooden panelling.
