Kitchen Stori’s Aldana Range Features in Channel 4 Home Restoration Show

1st August 2019 | Inspiring Interiors

The stunning Aldana range from Kitchen Stori, has made its TV debut on leading Channel 4 TV show, Old House New Home.  Hosted by leading restoration man and architect George Clarke, the Aldana skinny shaker style kitchen was the range of choice for homeowners Alan and Jane Southcott.

Their stunning 4 bedroom, 200-year-old farmhouse situated in the picturesque village of Mellor on the edge of the Peak District was idyllic from the outside but needed much work to the inside to match its character.

The lack lustre 80’s style kitchen and the adjacent snug room was dull and impractical. By enlisting the help of approved Kitchen Stori retailers Richard and Richards Designs of Stockport, the Southcotts transformed their space into a country haven.

The Aldana range lends itself perfectly to a country look and proved to be the ideal choice for this revamp.  It’s slim frame and traditional T & G panelling fused with the bold painted Viridian colour, results in a stunning modern country look.  The kitchen design features a run of floor to ceiling wall units to maximise storage, a Belfast sink, an overmantle shelf and a breakfast bar with seating space.  The white granite worktop features green and blue flecks to subtly tie in with the kitchen units.  Accents of bronze through the handles and taps and hard-wearing bar stools also help make it a functional rustic kitchen.  Freshly treated wooden beams and polished flagstones harp back to the farm’s original roots.

Commenting on the transformation, Project Manager Ricky Williamson of Richard & Richards Design said, ‘We’re delighted to have been involved in such a successful home transformation.  The Southcott’s were clear on what they wanted to achieve in terms of style and we’re very proud to have exceeded their expectations.  The Aldana range from marketing leading brand, Kitchen Stori was the obvious choice for this home.  The end result is a bright, welcoming social space and the adjacent utility room is now a super smart, functional area’.
