October 2022 sees the addition of two exclusive new colours to the Kitchen Stori standard paint-to-order palette – Taupe Grey & Willow.
Sara Cotter, Kitchen Stori Product Category Manager says “With continued uneasiness in the world, we naturally want to create a sanctuary at home. Taupe Grey & Willow are perfect options for creating a holistic space whether they are used individually, paired with different colour combinations, or coupled together. Both shades have been developed to create a sense of calm and comfort, drawing inspiration from the balance and rhythms that nature brings.”
Winslow, Taupe Grey (Main Kitchen) & Willow (Island).
Create a versatile backdrop for daily life with Taupe Grey, a subtle warm neutral with grey undertones offering a contemporary twist to a classic colour.
Inspired by Limestone, Taupe Grey draws inspiration from the natural stone’s unique texture and colour combinations. Depending on where the stone is crystallised and quarried, the stone can vary with different undertones of white, yellow, grey, and blue. Taupe Grey perfectly combines these to provide a shade that is brimming with warmth and an unmatchable depth, offering subtle richness that will uplift any space.
Pair the warm neutral with soft colours like Sage to create an enveloping space or for something more unconventional pair with the natural textures of Rezana in Espresso or Parched Oak for a more modern setting.
Working in a range of spaces across the home, Taupe Grey can be styled with polished and rustic textures depending on your aesthetic. Natural wood, rattan, and stone accessories draw on the warmth the shade offers, whilst contrasting metals such as chrome or brushed brass adds an extra element of grandeur to any design.
As we continue to seek to reconnect with nature, greens in all tones remain ever popular in our décor choices. Willow, a rich earthy green is suitable for both traditional and modern designs blurring the lines between outdoors and in.
Inspired by Irish forest floors, Willow’s hues reflect the varied species of ferns and mosses found below the tree canopy. Influenced by the pivotal role plants play in supporting the growth of woodlands, Willow is a strong yet muted shade that will enable the environment around it to thrive.
Sitting in the muted middle ground of our selection of greens, Willow can easily be the focal point of any room when paired with a softer shade like Taupe Grey, steal the show when used solo or ground the space when used with in conjunction with starker hues like Graphite.
